Shea Cochran

Originally from Mebane, NC, I attended East Carolina University where I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Family and Community services, with a concentration in Child Studies.  Since joining The Growing Years in 2010, I have had the opportunity to get to know and care for many children and families from three different TGY locations (Cary, Apex & now Burlington).  I have always found working with people and families to be rewarding, but children especially provide a sense of fulfillment as being a child care provider makes such an influential impact on both their day to day experience and the future.  Outside of my career I enjoy trying new recipes, preparing for holidays and spending time with my family.  Having three children and a dog of my own, there is never a dull moment at the Cochran house!  I look forward to my professional growth with the company and continuing to make connections between our families and the children in our care.

Kathleen Bowman

Hi, my name is Kathleen Bowman and I joined the TGY Burlington team as the
Director in 2013. I was born and raised in Lexington, NC and now reside in
Graham, NC. I spent 6 years living in Hawaii working for the US Army Child, Youth
and School Services. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and
a Master’s Degree in Birth-Kindergarten Studies with an emphasis in Program
Administration and Leadership. I have worked in the early childhood field for over
15 years and truly enjoy my role as a Director, which allows me to support the
development of our children and teachers. I have been married since 2016 and
we have an amazing daughter, Presley, who was born in 2018. Spending time
with my family is my greatest blessing!
